Benji McDonald has been drawing all of his life. Although he has never received any formal art training, he has always had a passion for art and is constantly striving to improve his skills. Benji’s biggest inspirations are comic books and animation, which are obvious in his personal style, but he’s always willing to branch out and try new things. After all, you can never have too many influences!

Benji graduated from Indiana University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, with a concentration in Design and Production. After graduation he moved to Indianapolis, IN, where he is currently working full-time as a professional animator and compositor doing motion graphics.

Aside from drawing, Benji also enjoys reading comics, playing video games, playing the drums, and listening to punk rock and hip hop. He also enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Chelsea, their oddly-shaped dog (a Whippet-mix named Rhodey, whose head is too small for his body), and their three-and-a-half-legged cat named Hobbes (who has an adorable little nub).

Benji has done numerous commissioned pieces for other companies and is always open to new and challenging art concepts. Although he is employed full-time (which keeps him pretty busy), he enjoys doing other art when he can.
